Welcome to Divination Odyssey
Hi, My name is Hyraeth Hades and I am the creator and proprietor of Divination Odyssey. I have no current plans to sell, or affiliate with any other partners. Like most websites, I use third party plugins and services, including analytical services that track the browsing behavior of visitors in order to improve the Divination Odyssey website. In the following disclosure, anywhere that I speak of the actions of Divination Odyssey also refers to me, Hyraeth Hades, and vice versa. If this disclosure does not answer your questions, feel free to contact me via email.
Your privacy is very important to me. At Divination Odyssey I have a few fundamental principles that I follow:
- I don’t ask you for personal information unless I truly need it. (I can’t stand services that ask you for things like your gender or income level for no apparent reason.)
- I don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop products, or protect my rights.
- I don’t store personal information unless required for the on-going operation of my site.
Gathering of Non-Personally-Identifying Information
Like most websites, Divination Odyssey collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. My purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Divination Odyssey’s visitors use the website.
Divination Odyssey also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on my blog. I only disclose logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that I use and disclose personally-identifying information as described below.
Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
Certain visitors to Divination Odyssey’s websites choose to interact with Divination Odyssey in ways that require Divination Odyssey to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Divination Odyssey gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, I ask visitors who comment on the blog to provide a username and email address and for those who wish to receive Divination Odyssey updates via email, I collect their emails. In each case, I collect such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with Divination Odyssey. I do not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.
The Collection of Aggregated Statistics
Divination Odyssey may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, Divination Odyssey may monitor the most popular pages on the Divination Odyssey site or use spam screened by the Akismet service to help identify spam. However, Divination Odyssey does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.
Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information
Divination Odyssey discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its affiliated services that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on Divination Odyssey’s behalf or to provide services available at Divination Odyssey’s websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those affiliated services may be located outside of your home country; by using Divination Odyssey’s websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. I will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to the affiliated services, as described above, I disclose potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when I believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Divination Odyssey, third parties or the public at large. If you are a registered user of the Divination Odyssey website and have supplied your email address, I may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with Divination Odyssey and my products and services. I primarily use the website to communicate this type of information, so I expect to keep this type of email to a minimum. If you send me a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), I reserve the right to publish it in order to help me clarify or respond to your request or to help me support other users. Divination Odyssey takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.
